NEW FOR 2011:
- All-new model
An all-new model for 2011, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG combines modern technology with the classic gull-wing styling of the company’s iconic 300SL.
It is the first Mercedes-Benz production vehicle to have its entire body shell made of aluminum, with a weight of only 241 kilograms.
The SLS uses a mid-mounted 6.3-litre V8 with seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission mounted on the rear axle. Settings allow it to be switched into Controlled Efficiency, Sport, Sport Plus, and Manual; it also includes a race start function.
Standard features include 19- and 20-inch AMG twin-spoke alloy wheels, automatic climate control, rearview camera, memory package with power steering column, hard disc-drive navigation system, media interface, Sirius satellite radio, bi-xenon headlamps, Alcantara roofliner, Designo exclusive leather upholstery, and AMG aluminum trim.
Available options include an extended carbon fibre package, Bang & Olufsen performance surround sound system, and an AMG Competition Package of ten-spoke forged wheels, carbon ceramic brakes, performance steering wheel, and sport suspension.
